I am a thirtysomething United Methodist pastor and have served four different churches in two different states. I also hold a PhD in historical and sacramental theology, and I lament the current state of my denomination, but I have hope that, out of the ashes, God will bring new life.
There is so much that can yet be done; so many people who have not yet heard the true path to immortality; so many who do not yet know the way to true power.
If there is truly life beyond the ordinary, every day affair so many are trapped within, it will be up to those of us who are beyond it already to share the secret: Jesus.
